Picks against the spread for Week 6 NFL games

The 2018 NFL season is officially in full swing http://www.49erscheapstore.com/laken-to … rsey-cheap , which means regular season betting is back. Iím back for another year of picks in the Westgate SuperContest. SB Nationís partners over at Odds Shark are sponsoring my entry again. The contest requires selecting 5 games each week and picking them against the spread. I finished 2-2-1 in Week 6, which brings me to 13-10-1 for the season. Overall for last week I scuffled along at 8-6-1.The San Francisco 49ers are a 9.5 point underdog on Monday Night Football against the Green Bay Packers. Some sportsbooks monitored by Odds Shark are offering 10.5 points, but for the most part itís 9.5 ó including at the SuperContest. If the line had been 10 or higher I might have been tempted by the 49ers, but without getting that needed hook, Iím staying away from this one. The 49ers are scuffling, but Green Bay has not been overly impressive this season. I could see a close game, I could see a Packers blowout ó itís a wide open one and Iím just not comfortable picking either way. Here are my five SuperContest picks for Week 6.VIKINGS (-10) over CardinalsWASHINGTON (-1) over PanthersBuccaneers (+3.5) over FALCONSBRONCOS (+6.5) over RamsTITANS (+2.5) over RavensI donít normally like taking a double digit favorite, but after last weekís game, I think it is reasonable to bet against Arizona in Minnesota. If the 49ers donít turn the ball over five times, I think they probably win that game by double digits. Kirk Cousins is a much better quarterback than C.J. Beathard Nick Mullens Jersey , heís got some big-time weapons in the passing game, and heís backed by a stout Vikings defense. The Cardinals could surprise them, particularly with Minnesota coming off a close road win over the Eagles, but I really think this is a game the Vikings win going away.I stuck with home teams for the most part. The one road team is the Bucs in the return of Jameis Winston as their starting quarterback. Heís had success against Atlanta, and if O.J. Howard plays, they could do some damage against a banged up Falcons defense. The Bucs are a tough team to figure out given the transition at quarterback, but I like them here. The Rams are on a roll, but if Denver is going to keep this close, this is the ideal situation. The Broncos have played well at home, including nearly upsetting the Kansas City Chiefs two weeks ago. Add in cold weather with a chance of snow http://www.49erscheapstore.com/pierre-g … rsey-cheap , and Iím ready to take the Broncos with the cover.I went 8-6-1 overall in Week 5. Here are all my picks for Week 6:GIANTS vs. Eagles (-3): Eagles ó LOSSVIKINGS vs. Cardinals (+10): VikingsBROWNS vs. Chargers (-1): BrownsDOLPHINS vs. Bears (-3): DolphinsWASHINGTON vs. Panthers (+1): WashingtonJETS vs. Colts (+2.5): JetsBENGALS vs. Steelers (+2.5): SteelersFALCONS vs. Buccaneers (+3.5): BuccaneersSeahawks vs. Raiders (+3 ó London): SeahawksTEXANS vs. Bills (+9.5): BillsBRONCOS vs. Rams (-6.5): BroncosCOWBOYS vs. Jaguars (-3): CowboysTITANS vs. Ravens (-2.5): TitansPATRIOTS vs. Chiefs (+3.5): PatriotsPACKERS vs. 49ers (+9.5): PackersGeorge Kittle, Matt Breida named to PFF 1st quarter All Pro team The San Francisco 49ers are facing problems on both sides of the ball after one quarter of the season, but they have had some big breakthroughs out of the gate as well. They might not be making the playoffs in 2018, but if Jimmy Garoppolo bounces back from his torn ACL next season, the offense is finding some weapons that will put it in a position to take a big step forward.PFF put together their first quarter All Pro team, and the 49ers have a couple names on the list. Running back Matt Breida was listed as an honorable mention behind New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara, and George Kittle earned the All Pro nod at tight end.Breida remains a solid dual threat, and has improved considerably from his rookie season. He is third in the NFL in rushing, but is first in yards per carry (7.6). More importantly, we are seeing improvement as a pass catcher. Last season Cheap Jimmy Garoppolo Jersey , Football Outsiders ranked him 37th in DYAR as a pass catcher. This season, he currently ranks 17th. Breida was going to have a significant role this season, but Jerick McKinnonís injury opened a door he has bounded through.Meanwhile, Kittle is on pace for a monster season. A year ago, he had 43 receptions, 515 yards, and two touchdowns. Through four games, he has 18 receptions, 316 yards, and a touchdown. I donít expect him to remain on a pace for 72 receptions and 1 http://www.49erscheapstore.com/george-k … rsey-cheap ,264 yards, but he appears to be making an early leap.Honorable mention behind Kittle was O.J. Howard who is now out two-to-four weeks with an MCL sprain. Howard leads all tight ends with 2.88 yards per route, while Kittle is second at 2.87.This weekend, the 49ers host an Arizona Cardinals defense that has been fairly solid for the most part. However, they are below average when it comes to defending both tight ends and running backs. Football Outsiders ranks them 23rd against tight ends and 19th against running backs. Kittle and Breida have been the two most effective weapons on the 49ers offense. I suspect Kyle Shanahan will look to continue making them a focus in Week 5.
